Featuring the Department of Radiology, Orthopedics, Rehabilitative Medicine and the Faculty of Oriental Medicine, the Joint Center at Dongguk University Medical Center was built with the commitment to provide systematic and comprehensive treatment and conduct research into orthopedic diseases. Joint diseases are caused by a variety of factors including congenital disorders, trauma and degenerative changes. Depending on the cause and the state of the disease, treatment and disease management method can vary to include surgery, drug treatment or rehabilitation. At Center for Joint Disease, the most appropriate and the best treatment method is provided through the collaboration of several medical experts in order to give our patients the highest level of treatment available. When a surgery is inevitable, the surgeon specializing in the relevant joint will be in charge of the procedure. In addition, the center strives to develop new treatment methods by conducting foundational research on joint diseases.
